“Individuation, therefore, can only mean a process of psychological development that fulfills the individual qualities given; in other words, it is a process by which a man becomes the definite, unique being he in fact is.” (C. G. Jung, Collected Works, volume 7, para. 267)
Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy and Jungian Analysis for Adults
A Journey for Healing and Creative Transformation
My approach to psychotherapy and Jungian analysis begins with creating a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space. Together, we explore the root causes of emotional distress and develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges.
A central principle in my practice is Jung’s concept of Individuation—the lifelong process of becoming your true self, or the "definite, unique being" that you are. Many individuals experience disconnection from their authentic identity due to early family dynamics, cultural conditioning, or unresolved relational trauma. This disconnection often manifests as anxiety, depression, addiction, or creative blockages.
Through depth-oriented therapy, we work to integrate these developmental wounds, uncovering the symbolic threads that lead to healing. Our goal is to foster a more cohesive, creative, and meaningful sense of self—one that honors your individuality while deepening your relationships within family, community, and the collective.
Couples Therapy in the Bay Area and Elsewhere
Strengthening Relationships through Insight, Emotional Connection, and Growth
I offer couples therapy for partners seeking deeper emotional connection, more effective communication, and meaningful resolution of recurring conflicts. Whether you are navigating a period of difficulty or hoping to strengthen an already valued relationship, therapy provides a supportive space to understand one another more fully and move forward with greater clarity and care.
Couples commonly seek therapy for concerns such as:
Our work begins by identifying the core issues shaping your relationship dynamics. Together, we explore how early life experiences, relational histories, and unconscious patterns may be influencing how you connect, communicate, and respond to one another. Themes that arise in individual work often live within the relationship as well, offering important insight into the interpersonal patterns between partners.
The aim of couples therapy is to support the inherent strengths of your relationship while fostering deeper mutual understanding, compassion, and emotional attunement. Through this process, partners can experience growth not only as a couple, but also as individuals within the relationship.

Consultation & Teaching
In addition to my clinical practice, I teach and consult within the analytic training program at the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. I also offer clinical consultation in my private practice for licensed therapists and helping professionals who wish to deepen their work through a Jungian and depth-psychological perspective. I have lectured nationally and taught at graduate institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including in the Expressive Arts Therapy Program at John F. Kennedy University for over twenty years and continue to offer seminars and workshops.
As a consultant, I attend to a wide range of psychodynamics from a Jungian and depth psychotherapeutic perspective. I bring a focus on the relational dynamics, symbolic messaging, and ways to experience an embodied presence between the therapist and patient. I also support clinicians in deepening their experience of presence through embodiment practices and through engaging reverie and active imagination in their own minds and bodies. And, ways to engage patients in imaginal and body-based practices to further deepen experience, according to the needs and inclinations of the patient. I am committed to co-creating a safe space to explore countertransference responses as a potential avenue to further understand the relational dynamics between the therapeutic couple. I support clinicians in developing greater confidence in working with the unconscious, dreams, creativity, and the transformative processes at the heart of depth psychotherapy.
As a teacher and lecturer, I offer seminars and trainings that bridge theory and lived experience. Areas of teaching include:
