Psychotherapy has naturally adapted to the modern world, and many people now choose to meet online. Telehealth sessions can be an effective and convenient way to receive therapy while remaining in the comfort of your home or office. Most of the services I provide remotely take place through secure video conferencing.
For some people, the idea of beginning therapy online may initially feel unfamiliar. It is common to wonder whether meeting virtually can be as effective as meeting in person. In practice, once sessions begin, a natural rhythm develops that closely resembles the experience of working together in the office. The same thoughtful conversation, reflection, and therapeutic process can unfold online.
Confidentiality remains an essential part of the work. I recommend that clients find a private space where they feel comfortable speaking freely during sessions. I am always happy to answer any questions you may have about how the process works.
I use Zoom for Healthcare, a secure and easy-to-use video platform. Prior to our session, I send you a link that allows you to join our meeting at the scheduled time.
Whether you are a busy professional, a stay-at-home parent, someone with mobility limitations, or simply prefer the convenience of meeting from home, online therapy can be a flexible and effective option.
Feel free to contact me to discuss your preference for online or in-person therapy and consultation, and to explore what might best suit your needs.
